I contacted him after seeing on his website that they "BUY" metal. I had four large industrial metal racks to sell. The day before his visit, I told him that I also had two refrigerators and a freezer for sale. When he arrived, he said he wouldn't pay for "such a small quantity." He carried down the two refrigerators, went back upstairs, then came down again with the freezer. I waited for him to return for the metal racks -- which were the main reason I called him -- but he never came back. When I went downstairs to see what was happening, I realized he had left without saying a word and without taking the racks. I immediately called him; he said he would return but then hung up on me. After that, he ignored all my calls and messages. He took advantage of me because I am a woman and was alone. I trusted him when he said he would take the racks, so I let him take the refrigerators and freezer first. Instead, he left secretly and never came back. That is completely dishonest and abusive behavior. But what makes this situation truly unacceptable is what happened next. When my husband called him to confront him about his dishonest conduct, Mr. Beauchamp told him to "go back to your country." That is a racist and xenophobic insult, and it shows a complete lack of integrity and respect for others. Not only did he deceive and take advantage of me, but he also insulted us because of our origin. This kind of behavior has no place in Canada -- a country that values equality, respect, and diversity. I strongly advise anyone -- especially women and newcomers -- to be extremely careful when dealing with this person or this company. No one should be treated this way.
