AVOID AT ALL COST - Lincoln ave, RIVERSIDE - IL - SAVE YOURSELF !!! *****NOT A BBB Credited Business ***** I have been a tenant at a 606 Realty Management property since Spring 2023, and the experience has been nothing short of a nightmare due to chronic neglect and refusal to address serious habitability issues. Ongoing Water Damage (5+ Months Unresolved): I reported water damage and infiltration in my kitchen wall beginning in August 2024. Despite submitting maintenance requests on 08/12, 08/22, 08/27, 09/27, and 10/03, every request was marked "resolved" online without actually fixing the underlying problem. The repairs were purely cosmetic--painting over water damage while the source of infiltration continues unchecked. As an immunocompromised individual, the potential for mold growth poses serious health risks that management has completely disregarded. They claim 5 months to diagnose the issue on an exterior wall with no water pipes going thorugh it Apartment Window Removals: 606 removed the current building windows claiming it is a saftey hazard due to there not being any fire alarms instade of installing fire alarms. They are nonsesical and only look for their own interest. When I asked to reinforce the apartmant door to prevent cold air coming in, my claim/request was denied. Unsafe "Repairs": A recently installed stairway handrail consists of raw, unfinished wood with exposed edges and splinters throughout the entire length. I have been injured by splinters twice. This is not a repair--it's a liability. Pattern of Negligence: 606 Realty's approach is to mark requests "resolved" in their system without actually addressing problems. When I formally documented these violations of the Chicago RLTO and requested appropriate rent adjustment for months of uninhabitable conditions, management's response was dismissive and suggested I move out rather than fulfill their legal obligations as landlords. Bottom Line: 606 Realty Management prioritizes cosmetic appearances over tenant safety and habitability. They close maintenance tickets without fixing problems, ignore repeated requests, and become defensive when held accountable. If you value your health, safety, and peace of mind, look elsewhere. There are plenty of landlords in Chicago who actually maintain their properties and respect their tenants. I was contacted by 606 Realty Management with a cease and desist letter claiming I am spreading false information. Let me be absolutely clear: none of these statements are lies. Every claim in this review is documented and factual. I have replaced the pictures with timestamped versions so everyone can verify the timeline for themselves.
