For quite a number of months now, Markham has been without a 7-Eleven store. My closest one from home is in Pickering. On Saturday, I was driving into Ajax and noticed this 7-Eleven. I decided to pull in. This store also has a gas station. Gas prices are cheap in Ajax to begin with. At this station, prices were cheaper by nearly two cents a litre at 115.9. I parked off to the side. There is more parking around this convenience store than I had anticipated. I walked in and was enthusiastically greeted by the man on staff. Such a pleasant surprise! I was immediately in the electronics accessories section. USB-C cables? Yep! Scotiabank ABM? Yep! Cold carbonated beverages? Yep! I was pleased. I was there to get some bonus points for picking up a bottle of Diet Dr. Pepper. I got it. Just remember to show your app to collect 7-Eleven reward points. There are plenty of hot food items. I was admiring the wings and hot dogs. Yum! The customer in front of me was taking his sweet time with the debit machine. I continued looking around. I ended up getting some cashew cookies that were on sale. It was finally my turn to pay. Tap works fine here with my debit card. I got my rewards bar scanned from my phone. All went well.
