Wow! When I first parked in the lot I was kind of skeptical because it said Benji's, but they're both connected together. They're owned by both the same place and once you walk into Benny's, you can go straight to the back where you can go to Avenue K. It seemed like more of a dive bar, but super chill and relaxing vibes. No pool table or darts though, but they have amazing food and cheap drinks! They've been here for 57 years and I was surprised why it only had 14 reviews. Food: - Reuben Fritters - 10/10 - it was honestly very nicely crisp and I love the mustard sauce to go with it. Highly recommend! - PASTRAMI CHILI CHEESE FRIES - 20/10 MUST HAVE. Honestly, I don't say this about a lot of things, but man, this is honestly the best pastrami I've ever had. It was so tender and soft. Melt in your mouth. Fries were nice and crispy while not being soggy at all I love having that sign of fresh onions to counterbalance it all. Thank you so much Stacy for taking care of us! YOU ROCK! Overall, we had an amazing time. This honestly might be our new spot to go to.
