From A L's review

Chicken Salad Chick is a refreshing delight with fast service and very good food. Thank You to the company for serving myself and other veterans a free The Chick meal and drink at a value of about $10 for Veteran's Day. But make no mistake about it, I review on quality despite the price paid or not. The Fancy Nancy chicken salad on croissant was pretty good overall. However, I did find the chicken salad a bit dry for my taste. Furthermore the apples, pecans, and (Thompson green) grapes were minimal in the flavor mix--but there are 13 different chicken salad offerings here. The dry spice seasoning tasted similar to Lawry's seasoning salt and personally reminded me of my Gran's chicken salad added spice from the 1970's. But overall it was of high quality ingredients and tasted fresh. Unfortunately the croissant could have used a slight warming because without it the refrigerator cold serve made the bread rather heavy and thick tasting. Room temperature or even a short micro would have done the bun justice by loosening up the fat content and making it fluffy and light as I know it could have been. A light pass of mayo on the bread also would have taken care of the moisture issue mentioned before although I realize there are two camps--to add mayo or not onto the sandwich bread (I'm a yea, my wife is a nay). The Broccoli Salad side I chose was insanely good. Fresh chopped broccoli crowns, real smoky bacon, mozzarella and cheddar cheese shreds in a light, sweet sauce similar to a milky coleslaw dressing consistency was the highest of freshest quality. I could eat that stuff all day long. I usually don't eat included pickle spear accents but this one was great. It had been pickled in full flavored spicy brine and was very crispy and tasty. A small frosted sugar cookie was also included. It was soft, moist, and almost the consistency of a rich petit four. Seriously good. A nice touch. This shop has a Southern girl's tea party charm. The food, the atmosphere, and the service are everything you would expect from classic Southern culture. I was very impressed with the food and fast service from this newly opened café. And ladies--there are 2 immaculately clean, roomy, and private bathrooms for "Chicks" and one for "Chick Magnets" so you should not have to use the fore said in wait. I know as a husband and father of daughters that this is a big plus and much appreciated. Nice touch I think. So for traditional Southern fare I can highly recommend this business. In fact I have plans to return very soon. This is a refreshing change to fast fried food and invokes nice memories of times spending with family like grandmothers, moms, and daughters and their classic Southern recipes in which we from the region grew up on. read more
