Once again Elkin has come through. Reeves Theater once a place to view cinema now has become a place of culture. When you walk in you will immediately feel at home and comfortable. They have done a wonderful job on refurbishing this once classic theatre. I had lunch here and the food was excellent. I had the grilled cheese/soup combo. Excellent. It's the closest anyone has come to making a grilled cheese like my mother did. They have a weekly menu that runs from Monday thru Saturday. It is a limited menu but there is always something you will enjoy. All the food is locally sourced whenever possible. Farm to restaurant. Beer, wine and of course regular drinks. That's what Elkin needs more of. Local support. The service is excellent and friendly. Susan is the cook and knows what she is doing. While your food is being prepared you can explore the new look and see what can be done to an older building. I recommend you go up to the balcony and get the best view. They offer many choices in entertainment on stage. Tuesday is open mic night. It is open for anyone to perform. Sing, dance, be a comedian or whatever. There is a variety of other venues scheduled at regular times. Just check the website. There is not a bad seat in the house. Come enjoy, relax, have fun and be entertained.
