Bonito Poke was a pleasantly surprising stopover we made on our way to Napa. It's been bookmarked for a while now, but since they're closed on Mondays, it didn't really coincide with our schedules. So glad we were able to come on a Tuesday to finally try it out. Chef Steven was super welcoming and knowledgeable of all the dishes. Our salads came out first and they were tasty and dressed perfectly. All of the plating was impressive as well. We ordered: Crunchy Garlic Chicken - This was my favorite thing we ordered! Loco Moco - Really hearty. The mushroom gravy was *chef's kiss* Cali Poke - I chose salmon as my protein. I forget where the chef said it was from, but the fish tasted really fresh. Like another reviewer mentioned, I do wish it was more spicy. But my fault for not asking for the sauce. Cocktails: Tropical Zen - This was sooo good! A must try if you love matcha and pandan. Strawberry Hawaiian Fizz - A fruity and tropical accompaniment if that's more your vibe. If you're craving Hawaiian food elevated with quality ingredients and preparation check out Bonito Poke. The dine-in experience was outstanding. There were many people ordering to-go too if that's a more fitting option. They also have a food truck in the financial district of SF, but I believe it's limited to poke. I would definitely come back to try the rest of the menu! read more
