I'm actually really surprised with this place. The inside was giving me a retro casual vibe. They have interesting seating at the bar where it's booth seating almost but more love seats, which is perfect for a date. The service was impressive in that the server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.
I could tell the sushi here was of high quality. The fish was fresh and had subtle flavors to it.
I tried the chirashi which comes with an assortment of fish on top of a bed of rice. The rice is sushi rice.
I also tried the chicken katsu which was a special for them It was suppose to be a fusion of Thai and Japanese flavors. I think the Japanese flavors came mostly from the chicken and the curry was more Thai flavored. The curry was creamy and the chicken was crispy and soft. It was just overall easy to eat.
I did try a few different rolls. The rolls weren't my favorite but they were still good enough and unique. I've never had rolls like theirs before. One of them had a spicy flavor with almost too many flavors going on. The salmon roll was my favorite it had like a pickled flavor to it and carrots in it. It was almost like a Korean roll like gimbap. read more
