A good balance of price and quality, this Korean-run sushi joint really has nice tuna, salmon, tuna belly, and their nigiri is nicely pressed with attention paid to amount of rice (i.e. it shouldn't be too much, and it should adhere to the fish).
The sushi pizza was pleasantly seasoned with a crunchy sushi rice cake as the "crust". The lemon juice in the sauce was refreshing, and it wasn't overseasoned or over-mayo'd. The sushi sashimi combo tonight had 2 pieces of ama-ebi as a highlight, and 2 pieces of rather chewy octopus as the low.
Toro nigiri is a good deal. We were one of the first tables seated around 6:30 and our food came out startlingly fast - close to 5 minutes! The fish, while good quality, comes out rather cold, which is a mark of many non-Japanese sushi restaurants. At least it's not frozen, which I have experienced at other places.
Overall this is a find. read more
