Stopped in bc I heard so much about Grand Day Cafe on West 5th and Northwest Blvd. Grabbed the combo breakfast - two eggs scrambled, two sausage patties, hash browns, and two pancakes with decaf coffee. Food was ok. Big long slab of hash browns (wish they had country potatoes instead), sausage patties looked a bit dry, eggs are eggs - nothing special. Pancakes were good but the butter was a bunch of frozen packets of butter. So cold it took a little time before melting on the pancakes. Syrup was ok. Probably enjoyed the pancakes the most. Service was terrific; attentive and checked on me several times. My coffee cup never got empty. Ambiance - since it was mid morning on a weekday, not too busy. Other days I've driven by, it's been a line out the door. read more
