What a great spot to immerse yourself in coffee knowledge while getting to taste delicious samples and see a gorgeous view! Why I was here // Out being a basic tourist in Kona and wanting to see a coffee plantation, we stumbled upon this and called to see if we were able to get a last minute free tour in. They were able to accommodate us for 3pm which was awesome!! Our tour guide was Lily and she was extremely informative, friendly, and really made our experience wonderful! Pros: Parking lot, cafe with samples of the UCC Coffee and they even give you a chocolate covered coffee bean sample which was so good that I ended up buying 2 bags of that stuff! The view is beautiful so make sure to have your camera ready! Tour: My family and I did the free tour and it was perfect! We got to walk near the trees and our tour guide took us through their process and included many fun facts. She also let us check out their macadamia nut trees, where I got to try my first fresh macadamia nut!! Super cool! Overall - My family and I ended up buying so much coffee from UCC and the experience was wonderful. If I ever come back to Kona, I would definitely come again! They even sell their really cute UCC cups (so I ended up buying 2!) And if you post a photo to social media they also give you a bag clip for that as well! read more
