During a work trip to Nashville back in September, I had a strong "I really want some Barbecue" moment. The South is known for their tremendous barbecue flavors, rubs, herbs and spices and I could not leave before I checked out one spot there that while it was a franchise --it was known to be a staple in the city.. Jumping straight to it Mission was great! Their service was fast, convenient and courteous. I remembered saying to myself, that was pretty easy. You can select your protein, sides and veggies. With a normal restaurant level noise ambiance and welcoming environment for everyone, you could really tell it was the place to be that afternoon as this location was right around the corner from the Grand Ole Opry. From the tender juicy ribs, to their greens, the food was great. My mouth is watering thinking about it. What made it fun was their assortment of sauces you can try on each bite. More restaurants should adopt this style of serving up their sauces when it comes to barbecue. Their banana pudding had a subtle sweetness and was delicious. It reminded me of the way I use to eat it growing up. This was a tremendous first visit to the Country Music Capital of the World and a wonderful way to finally quiet the beast within that just wanted some barbecue! read more
