I have been an elevated member for 20 years, two years after I started driving. I get 4 calls a year, many years have gone where I didn't make a call.
This year I used my 4 allotted calls, it renews in 12 days at the beginning of the year. I found myself stuck in a snowbank in a freak storm in unfamiliar territory. I called AAA, all of my details, and was told that I was over my calls... Fine, understood, that I would need to pay, fine...Expected, no problem. Passed me to next operator.
Next operator informed me "YOURE OUT OF LUCK ....You used your calls up " REFUSED! REFUSED TO PLACE THE CALL TO A TOWING COMPANY!!! HALF HOUR ON THE PHONE, WOULD DO NOTHING FOR ME . What if I had been an elderly person with no smart phone ? Why can you not register the call with the local AAA TOW COMPANY!!!
The tow company I found was great....They could not believe that dispatcher at AAA did this....AAA Has had days to return my complaint on phone, Facebook messages, and it's done nothing.
Really they should take my complaint seriously and look into who the hell was working that evening in the area of RED CREEK NY ...
I always had great faith in AAA....It's now shattered. I will not be renewing my services ever....I've googled and found far better alternatives and services. It's not about price, it's about being there when you need them.
AAA IS NO LONGER THE COMPANY IT USED TO BE, IN MY PARENTS AGE OF RELIABILITY.....FAR BETTER ALTERNATIVES EXIST ......Time to say goodbye to this faulty company! read more
