This is a really cute new coffee spot in Eugene. It's pretty close to the university, but it's not right on campus which is good level of proximity-- you're not gonna be flooded with people from campus and it's still retains a fairly calm, quiet presence. I really loved the vibe at this place.
I came with my toddler and we ordered some hot chocolate. Sadly, the hot chocolate was not really great. That might be my fault because when they asked if 2% was OK I said yes and I probably should've said whole milk so that may have had an impact on the taste. I'm not sure if I'd get one for myself again if we came here, but I'd be willing to stop in and try a chai sometime. It may be that that just wasn't a drink for me here. They did have a lot of interesting looking drinks, though, for someone who drinks coffee.
Perhaps my favorite feature was that they have this little kids table in their back room. The table was covered with some brown craft paper and there were a bunch of crayons and colored pencils out for kids to draw with. There evidently had been a child who had taken advantage of that and had drawn on the paper, which I assume is why they cover the table with it. There were also some coloring books there as well. There were a bunch of books for a variety of ages, from infants to teens. They had a bunch of toys too, and those seemed particularly geared towards littles; my own immediately got started exploring them.
Like I said I love the vibe here, it's definitely worth your while to stop. A mix of couch, comfy chairs, and spots perhaps better suited to getting some work done whilst some quiet tunes play is just the sort of spot I find relaxing. And the kid's table/corner is genius and fun, so that alone makes it worth visiting sometimes.
There's street parking, but you can also park behind the bakery in the Peak Credit Union parking lot. read more
