Aldi's has some of the cheapest prices. I will say that sometimes Aldi beats Costco. Plus you don't need a membership or buy in bulk. If you break down costs by quantity/weight then you will see that Aldi's has the lowest prices around.
I like that the cashier is able to actually sit down and scan the items. I wish more stores gave employees the option to sit down. Aldi's is very bare bones and simplistic. This is not the place for people that want their cashier to bag their items.
Prices are low for a reason and its because their business model has no name brand products and less staffing. Aldi's is a German grocery store chain and most items are privately-branded and Aldi-exclusive products. Aldi's also keeps prices lower by cutting back on advertising and marketing compared to big names like Walmart, Target, Costco, etc.
The shopping carts are not be brought back by employees since this store relies on less staffing to keep prices low. Bring your cart back and get your quarter back. Just insert a quarter into the slot to release the shopping cart lock. When you return the cart, you just need to put the shopping cart chain of the cart in front of yours into the slot backwards to return. read more
