I don't usually take time to add negative reviews, but this deserves mentioning - especially given the high ratings online.
I'm not from Duncan, but I needed to get my nails done before leaving for a work trip. I regularly have them done with dip and very occasionally acrylic.
I thought I'd give Angel's nails a try since they had a high rating on Google and Facebook. It was the most frustrating experience. The young man who removed my dip powder kept the Dremel on the highest level making my natural nails very thin. I finally asked him to turn the Dremel down because my nails were getting sensitive. He and the owner were irritated, but he did turn it to a lower setting. I asked him to put tips on my nails because they were thin after the dremel, but he only put tips on three nails that completely ripped off after becoming paper thin. Honestly, I should've left the store right then and went to someone else. That's on me. After it was all done, my nails looked ok...but they were very short for almond shape.
That same night, one of my nails broke. I thought I'd go back to see if Angel's would have any integrity and at the least repair the nail. I arrived just after they opened, at 9:15am, to talk with the technicians and see what they could do. The owner remembered me and said I'd have to come back (for 1 nail repair) after 11 other customers were completed. Believe me, I get that you want to take care of your customers, but I hope the ladies in line realize - if their nails are damaged by the shop and they need a repair.... They can expect this type of customer service from the owner and staff.
I would not recommend this nail salon to anyone hoping for a peaceful and professional service. read more
