For the past year, if I am close to or in Cabbagetown, I end up hitting Gushi Japanese Street Food. I am obsessed with the curry chicken meal that it's all that I order as my main. I couldn't tell you what other meals are available.
I tend to eat this meal in my car. It smells so good that I can't drive away without eating it first. However, I decided to park on Gerrard Street East yesterday and noticed Anniversary Park.
What's interesting about this park is that it forms a triangle thanks to two Gerrard Street East streets, and Parliament Street. It's cool when you look at a map and you see a triangular park.
Anniversary Park is small and quaint. There are rocks where you can sit down at relax. I was hoping to do that after grabbing my lunch. However, there were a father-son duo feeding the birds with small pieces of bread. The last thing I want is feathered company as I eat! I don't think that they were aware of at least two signs that said to not feed the birds. The birds hoped that these guys continued to throw bread bits at them!
I like the trees at this park. They seem nicely maintained, as does the entire park.
It was a good find. Normally, I am so focused on chowing down. It was nice to see some greenery in a tranquil setting while stuffing my face.
