I have been taking my kiddo to this park since before we lived in this area and happened to be visiting. It is located on the north side of Appleton sandwiched between Northland Avenue and Ballard road, both easily accessible from highway 41. It is a huge park and your children can run around freely! They have what I call a Dream Park play structure, that accommodates multiple ages and boasts access for any mobility needs, which is great! During the summer, there are "misting showers" that the kids can press and cool off without getting drenched. The city of Appleton also hosts its 4th of July event here and that is a fun experience in and of itself. There is a pond, bandstand and shelter to rent, which makes for a complete peaceful and pretty environment to spend time in. Aside from huge fields and a great hill to climb (a HUGE sledding spot in winter,) sports fields (baseball, etc.) we will always return to Memorial Park. read more
