Omg you must go to AR Workshop! I'll start this off by saying that I am not crafty or artistic. At. All. I've done the whole wine and paint thing and disliked it but this is so much different. You are sanding wood, using power tools, staining wood, stenciling and painting, and it all ends up being something functional! Plus, they walk you through every step of the way and are completely open to you creating a custom design if you let them know in advance so they can set up the stencils. I made a lazy Susan project as a gift for my MIL and she LOVED it and I had a blast making it! Also, BYOB makes this even better. read more
