The gas is cheap because they DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS, only debit cards or cash. And then, there's a 35¢ debit card fee. You won't find that out until you've waited in line for a pump, pulled in and your credit card gets rejected. So yes, I saved a dollar or two but I lost the points I earn on fuel purchases.
In 2022, what gas stations don't accept credit cards? And why isn't that clear from the start?
I do not like using my debit card in public as there are limited protections in case the card is compromised. I suggest that you go elsewhere. There's a Shell up the street that is only 10 cents more when you're in their Fuel Rewards program.
