I've been looking for a nice charcuterie board as my boyfriend and I recently purchased a ton of charcuterie cheese and meats. I happened to run into Art Magic Creative Studio on my influencer, Yelp friend, Faith D, IG reel she posted back in Valentine's Day. The epoxy resin used on the boards were non-toxic, and food could be plated on top! Amazing! The day I found this studio, I found out that they were hosting an event that Friday in Point Loma in San Diego! What great timing! The studio mainly holds their classes in Oceanside but as mentioned earlier, I lucked out in finding them the same week they were having an event at Modern Times Beer in Point Loma. I made a reservation via their website. They had about 5 different creative wood options to choose from, ranging from coasters to trinket boards to serving boards to charcuterie boards with handle. Lots of options to choose from for this event! The prices ranged from about $70-120 which is actually a bit cheaper than at the studio I noticed. They also had additional 5% or 10% discount based on the amount of friends and family you come with as well! As we were a group of 3, we got the additional 10% off. I chose their serving oval board that was 10" x 16". My boyfriend and my friend both got their trinket board that was 6" x 12". There were about 5-6 tables of about 6-8 people when we went. A huge amount of people with the owner(?) of the studio and 3 assistants. My group thought the flow of the event was kind of everywhere as there were so many people attending and not enough workers. But nevertheless, we all had an amazing time and made some new friends! We all were given a free drink with the brewery as well. It was quite a fun experience, and I left quite happy with how everything went (besides the gold accents I added too much of) and wanting to do another class in the future! I believe right before we left, my boyfriend and friend talked to the owner, and she mentioned that they were planning to open a studio in San Diego! That would be exciting as I wouldn't have to make the drive up to Oceanside just to have another amazing, fun class. Hopefully this'll happen soon! Overall, a really fun, innovative art project with family and friends! I now have an expensive but beautiful charcuterie board to plate my food and charcuterie cheese and meats! So excited!
