The food is okay. I enjoy going here because it is a nice, quiet place to dine in West Baton Rouge area. There is nothing fancy-pants about this restaurant, but it was a huge change & renovation from the restaurant that was previously there! The food is descent...I go here when I crave gyro meat close to home! I would prefer for the gyro meat to be a warmer temperature than how I normally receive it. This time around I ordered the gyro salad and it was a fairly large serving...see my (photos), so the it would have been perfect for 2! I also ordered the fried cheese appetizer for me and my friend because it was recommended by the waitress (said it was a customer favorite). I do not remember the last time I had it, but after tasting a bit of it, I remembered why I did not like it...it was RUBBERY...and why was it rubbery...because it was IT WAS NOT WARM ENOUGH!! Seriously now, I am kind of disappointed that there is a temperature issue with a lot of the dishes I have ordered here. I took some of the fried cheese home and warmed it up on my skillet and it was perfect...how it should have been! My friend had the chicken shawarma dinner plate and she could not eat it because of the fat excessive amounts of fat on the pieces of chicken. She did enjoy the baklava though! read more
