From Clover's review

I probably rent a car about 6-8 times a year for road trips, so I avoid putting the miles on my car. In my experience the airport is the best place to rent them, but I decided to try this location since its closer to home and would save me some time and gas in not having to drive to one of the airports. It was my first and last time using this location. Just do yourself a favor and avoid the stress by not going to this location. (BTW - Might want to read some of the other reviews on here and on Google. I didn't and now wish I had.) Locations like this are normally owned by an individual or smaller company using the rental car companies name and not Avis as a corporation. Therefor they try to charge you for everything, as you can see from the attached pictures. Also, the miles on the car where very high compared to what you would get at the airport and was the very base model. This car needed to be retired. Also, be sure that you document ALL DAMGE to the car (inside and out) AND the GLASS. The guy that works there (a young guy who is very nice and the reason they get one star :)) will probably walk around the car with you and document it all on the "car damage form" he might say "if its smaller than a quarter (or something), we don't need to document it," don't listen to that. You are renting the car and at a place like this, they will try to charge you if you don't have it documented. I am speaking from experience. He tried to say that they didn't need to document some damage and I said, no please put it down. He did and I verified everything was on there before I signed it (be sure you do that). Then if you MUST use this location keep all the documentation for at least six months. WHY? Well, because like me you might get a letter in the mail two months later that says you are responsible for $600+ in damages to the car that where already identified and both you and they have a copy of those damages. And thankfully I can pull out my copy and show Avis Corp. and my credit card company to say "nope, this was identified and documented at the time of the pickup, by their employee, and here is my copy." I have never had an issue with any car rental company trying to pull something like this, until now, and I've rental a lot of cars. But I just had this feeling when I saw all these signs, that there was going to be an issue, so was extra cautious on documenting damage and keeping paperwork. And I guess my gut was right. Funny how that works. If I could have gotten the same rate on that day at the airport I would have canceled the reservation I had here and gone to the airport. So much for trying to support the "little guy." Just avoid the unneeded stress and dishonesty and avoid his location. Happy and safe travels. read more
