I am steve perkins, owner of Backyard Carnivals. The two reviews I received are very disturbing to me. I am an honest person who truly cares about my customers, with an outstanding reputation in the Jacksonville community for the past 18 years. When someone publishes openly that I am dishonest I feel compelled to respond. To begin, Patti has nothing to do with any dealings with Backyard Carnivals. I must assume that her friend stormy asked her to write a review putting Backyard Carnivals down because we never had any dealings with patti. Stormy called several times to discuss several options for her event. Kimberlee verbally quoted prices over the phone. Normally events are booked weeks in advance and a formal proposal is given but this was just days before the event date. The main item in dispute was for our mobile monkey motion which can be either two or four stations. Two stations were quoted for, which cost less than the four station. When the order was placed, (the night before the event) the four station monkey motion was ordered which cost more money. Kimberlee explained that it would be more money. There we no "shady negotiations". Just a simple misunderstanding that somehow turned into someone trying to punish my business by slandering me on social media. read more
