Our trip to Solvang centered around a wine tasting and visiting friends, we opted for this hotel based on its reviews and pricing. Although the staff we interacted with were not especially cordial, they carried out their responsibilities. The room itself was spacious, with a somewhat quirky design. The bathroom was compact, lacking a sink, which was instead positioned in the main room near the entrance. The room did not have a TV, thin walls and the window blinds were of poor quality, failing to effectively block light from street lamps and the sun. The bedding was satisfactory, but the pillows were uncomfortably large. Two significant issues with our room were the sticky floor, which suggested a spill or the use of unclean mop water, and the thermostat, which remained illuminated throughout the night, impacting my ability to sleep due to its intense brightness and intermittent fading before blasting back on fully as though it was possessed. The Inn did offer a complementary wine and cheese in the afternoon and breakfast in the morning. read more
