We heard that Baryo was now serving breakfast and coffee drinks so we went to check it out. The space is cute and shares the building with former Krill. I learned they also share the kitchen with that space and the chef Tyler came out and introduced herself and brought out the food. Jake was our barista and bartender and greeted us, answered all of our questions and made delicious lattes. We had the oat milk lavender latte which was a specialty drink and I can see why. The flavors are perfect and lavender goes so well with the espresso and honey and lavender . I had the matcha latte with lavender and it was also perfectly made and served in real porcelain cups vs to go containers. Our scrambles and potatoes were served in a plastic to-go container so that was a little odd however it was ready to just add a lid to take the leftovers. They offer breakfast sandwiches with your choice of bun, biscuit, tortilla and then choice of filling . The fried chicken sandwich on brioche looks amazing and we may try that next time. This is a fun place for breakfast and coffee and tea drinks and I would recommend checking it out when in this part of Durham. They also then have a full service bar for late night. read more
