BASIC is a super cute hair and nail salon in Fountain Square. This review is specifically about the nail services. I have yet to do my hair here, but I completely made the switch from a traditional nail salon to Porsha! I discovered her on Instagram and messaged her to make an appointment. I was scheduled for my first appointment in March when the pandemic hit so unfortunately I had to wait until the summer. Ever since, I visit her every 3 weeks or so for some fresh nails. Every time I walk away super happy with the results. Important things to know are that they are by appointment only. You can't just walk in. Second, no acrylics whatsoever. She only does normal manicures, gel, and luminary. Third, Porsha is a nail artist! She hand draws all of the designs and the possibilities are endless! Fourth, they take COVID very seriously which I am happy about. You must wear a mask. You must come alone. She will let you know when she has sanitized the work space and you can come in. & she asks that you please notify her if you are feeling sick so your appointment can be rescheduled. The space is super clean, minimalistic and cute! The prices are very fair to me based on the fact that you are paying for someone's skill set that has taken years to develop.
