I was headed to home on the 10 fwy approaching the huge Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Baldwin Park when I suddenly had a serious urge for ice cream. While sitting in traffic, I went to Yelp on my phone and I typed in, "ice cream near me" (where else would I search, right?) I was elated to discover that I was three minutes away from a Baskin Robbins ice cream shop. I exited the freeway and drove the one mile only to discover that I had driven by this area hundreds of times and never realized that there was Baskin Robbins in Baldwin Park. I entered the small, clean and well organized shop. I was immediately greeted by two young, female employees, "good morning. Welcome to Baskin Robbins". Is it just me or does hearing a nice greeting from employees of any business always make you feel appreciated? I LOVE ice cream and always go for the "no sugar added" flavors which most locations only offer one such flavor, "Coconut/pineapple". This location not only had this same flavor big they also offered a SECOND, "no sugar added" flavor, "Caramel Turtle Truffle". WHAT!!! Of course, I requested one of each of the above flavors in a come and one spoonful of either flavor and I was happy as a kid in an ice cream shop. Both flavors were delicious and the portion sizes were more than enough for me. Service here was GREAT from the two young female employees who were both very friendly, and welcoming.
