Baxter makes some of my favorite wines so I was really looking forward to stopping by their tasting room on my recent trip to Mendocino. It was such a nice little place! Very clean and welcoming decor with a lovely bar, indoor and outdoor seating, and the wine makers lovely wife Claire pouring and guiding us through our tasting. The tasting was 5 different wines: 1 Chardonnay and 4 Pinot Noirs. They were all outstanding, but my favorite was the Oppenlander Pinot (which I took home a few bottles of :) ). I can't wait to drink and share this wine with others, and will be looking forward to my next trip out this way so I can stop by the tasting room again. read more
