The Short Version: Persian bakery from The GTA has made its way to Ottawa. Pretty interior. The Napoleon was ok but the phyllo was a bit chewy. The Long Version: BB Cafe started out in The Greater Toronto Area in 2009 and they have 6 cafe locations in The GTA (plus they sell their items at Kourosh Supermarket). This newest location in Ottawa opened in March 2025 and is their first foray outside of the GTA. It's in the Bleeker Mall, which admittedly is not the most glamourous place, lol, but they've renovated the inside nicely and the interior is quite pretty. They have crocheted Monstera plants on their tables. I think they are for sale because they had a $17 price tag on them, lol. I got a piece of Napoleon pastry ($8.50) to try. They have a custard version and a whipped cream version. I opted for the custard one. The pastry was aesthetically pleasing with some dried rose petals on top. The taste was ok, but the phyllo was chewy. It didn't have the crispiness that I like with Napoleon pastries. I am open to trying their other items in the future to see if they'll be fresher. Service was courteous. They also sell ice cream in flavours like pomegranate, saffron and pistachio. I might return to try this. Free parking available in the Bleeker Mall parking lot.
