Ah, the Roach Coach. How far you have come. What's that, you say? You call them "Food Trucks" now? Have you been watching too much of the Food Network or something?

I have to say, of all the "Food Trucks" I've tried lately in Boston, this one has the tastiest food. Also really messy, but tasty.
I thought that menu was hard to read. I didn't know that "*smoked pork w/BBQ(smith) saice" was a sandwich. It wasn't clear to me reading that thing. I get it NOW that I'm sitting here uploading my photo, but it was confusing when I was there on the street. I'll get that next time.

I got 2 tacos, one chicken, one pork. There's only 1 guy working in the truck, so it's gonna be a minute. But they were really tasty. Some kinda lime-cillantro water-sauce on them gives it a nice light taste. Avocado spread, some kind of veggie mix, and other crap make these soft tacos really flavorful. But, they are really messy. I don't understand the concept these places are trying to pull off: "Here, eat this, but mind the watery sauce that will drain out the other end and down your shirt sleeve." Good thing I keep a Tide Stick here at my desk. Street food is meant to be eaten whilst on the street. Not huddled over with a fork and knife navigating the water-sauce that will inevitably stain your clothes! By the time I got to the second taco, it was utterly wet with that lime-cilantro sauce. Still tasted good, just incredibly messy. Hence, 3 stars.

I will go back, and this time maybe bring a wet-nap. I did not find anything remotely "BBQ" about my tacos, but they were tasty. read more
