For some reason, Korean food in Sydney doesn't offer much when it comes to sundubu jjigae, a hot stew filled with tofu and other goodies.
Why? I don't know...but these restaurants really need to step up their game! Why do you have to go all the way out to Epping to get a legitimate bowl of sundubu? Who knows...but it's a travesty. I'm not even a big sundubu fan but the stuff here is pretty damn good.
Came with a group of people and I ordered the pork sundubu with special rice for around $19. Others ordered the kimchee sundubu and bulgogi sundubu. It was pretty good and super filling. I was going to order the kalbi+sundubu combo but unfortunately you can't choose the type of sundubu with that combo, default is mushroom. We also ordered seafood pancake and that was plenty of food for everyone.
Only gripe here is it's out of the way and the sundubu can take some time to come, but it's well worth the wait. read more
