I ventured here for a women's basketball game to see Native American basketball phenoms Shoni Schimmel and her sister Jude. They were on the Louisville Cardinal's team and were in town to play WSU.
The game was pretty awesome, and went down to the last minute. Shoni did not disappoint. Her teams offense was clearly run through her, and this made it hard for her to totally dominate the game, but she was able to make her entire team better, and ultimately too much for the Cougs.
As for the Stadium, it's a decent little venue. I've actually been to this Stadium a few times. The WSU annual pow wow (known as the Pah-Loots-Pu Celebration) is also held at this venue in April.
I managed to grab some decent general admission seats fairly close to courtside for the Schimmel game. There are food options here, and also a WSU gift store as well.
I highly applaud organizations of WSU for putting together a great evening of basketball and culture.
I ended up parking just outside the Stadium on a nearby street (didn't pay). I definitely plan on coming back here if the Schimmel sisters are here again, or for a pow wow. read more
