This local Sunset Harbour restaurant has lived many lives, beginning as an industrial warehouse and later an art gallery, where original Andy Warhols once hung above diners' heads. In 2023, visionary owner Tiger opened BeyBey, transforming the space into a refreshing indoor-outdoor restaurant that effortlessly mixes styles from different decades, while preserving the intimate feeling of dining in an art collector's home.
After closing for a full kitchen renovation, BeyBey has now reopened for dinner. I was lucky enough to preview the lunch menu last week ahead of the official reopening.
The Mediterranean menu--with a clever twist--has been perfected by Asian/Jamaican chef Geoff Lee. The flavours are unexpected and memorable. As a vegetarian, I can confidently recommend every vegetarian dish I tried; they were all excellent. My friend raved about the fish as well.
Sunset Harbour is truly lucky to have BeyBey as a neighbourhood restaurant. The staff are warm, welcoming, and make the experience feel special from start to finish. read more
