Bierometer has evolved into a very popular spot in my hood. Now I can't imagine the neighborhood without this easygoing eatery & drinkery. Food here is generally very good from the burgers & fries to the Austrian specialties like Gulasch & Schnitzels. I enjoyed a tasty Roasted Tirolerknödel here recently washed down with their flavorful Grieskirchner 'Edelsud' Hausbier. The service was the usual friendly. The place was hoppin' from a large and happy family birthday celebration to a few people stopping in for drinks after work to many neighbors enjoying a good inexpensive meal out. Bierometer has a warm look inside - especially with the exposed bricks ... and outside under the trees is one of the prettiest Schanigartens in all of Vienna. In summer it is not always easy to claim a table as people like to linger when eating and dining on the wonderful Margaretenplatz. Bierometer often flies under the radar of Margareten's most well-known Lokals ... but that's fine with us in the neighborhood who appreciate what it has to offer! read more
