Bill's is now where the old Tuck Cho used to be - we were interested in trying Bill's and were intrigued by the branding and nice decor. As we walked in, we really enjoyed seeing the different seating areas and admired the cool decor - from the funny big pom poms to the nice candles on the tables to the hanging dried chillies.
I liked the menu and was deciding between the burger, the ribs and the lime crusted salmon. My cousin is wheat- and dairy-free so was left with only the steak option, and then they informed her that they were out of rump steak. Her rib eye was fantastic, as were her sweet potato fries, but at a price. Her husband had the burger which he said was good. I enjoyed the salmon but was surprised that the noodles were served cold. I also had the house Bill's Beer brewed especially for Bills restaurants, but it had a bit of an interesting finish and didn't go great with the salmon although I had asked about it ahead of time.
I really liked the ambiance and decorations, but the service and options were a bit limiting. The beers were served slowly but the food luckily came quickly. The burger's pot of chips were knocked over by the server when putting them down. The service was ok but not great, the prices were a bit high for the portion sizes, and generally the place was good but didn't blow us away. read more
