I already have an Opthalmologist, so went to BJs hoping to get simple, inexpensive glasses & sunglasses; for driving only. (My Opthalmologist does NOT provide this service). Dr Vaishali Nigam (OD), is a licensed optometrist providing eye care services @ BJ's. Who knew Dr Nigam would be such a great Optometrist?!?! Dare I say, I liked her more than my Opthalmologist?! She was so patient, knowledgeable, communicative, and thorough. I would return to Dr Nigam in a heartbeat! Great services and professionalism! Optician Donna was also wonderful! She helped me pick out my frames and was so helpful! She picked frames that I would have never picked for myself. After trying them on, I loved them both! Donna also gave me good tips on picking the tint for my sunglasses, and tips on how to handle insurance reimbursement. Thanks, Donna!! BJs is currently having a BOGO for complete pair of glasses (some restrictions apply). I ended up getting regular glasses, as well as Sunglasses! I had to pay extra for the added tint for my sunglasses. I still ended up paying $367 for both glasses but that still comes out to less than $200 each, so I'd consider that a win. Note that it takes 2 weeks for your glasses to come in, so allow extra time to receive them. Also note that they take some (not all) insurances for the exam, but will NOT accept insurance for your frames/glasses; however you can probably submit your receipts to get a small reimbursement.
