Updating my review since this local joint has only gotten better. Chef/owner, Neil McMillan, makes crazy delicious food and the world needs to know.
The decor has been updated and is still very diner-esque and rockabilly, with Elvis signs and nods to the owner's side hobbies and interests. Check out that vinyl record floor!
The menu boasts a theme of dishes claiming to 'charm' your appetite and 'mystify' your hunger. Hot tip: If you're lucky and it's not too busy, Neil might even show your kid a magic trick or two.
The bacon deserves its own paragraph. "Crispy bacon" is a way of life here. Ask for it crispy. How do they get it this perfect. Magic? The silver dollar home-fries are also quite locally famous, so be sure to ask for those as well.
What to reco? Everything is good here. My go-to is the Greek omelette or the chocolate chip pancakes. They do a good gluten free version too. The skillets and fish and chips are also equally popular for lunch.
This place is always busy. Best breakfast in town, hands down. read more
