I'm so excited to have discovered Bob's Java Jive in Tacoma, WA. It's a Coffee pot-shaped building that houses a bar and music venue in a rough and tumble neighborhood. This place has a fun history dating back to 1927! The building has served many purposes over the years, serving the public as everything from a fast food drive-thru to a speakeasy. The building has also been featured in several films, including "I Love You to Death," and Cameron Crowe's "Say Anything." These roadside America kitschy buildings amuse me greatly, and I'll always go out of my way to visit them when I can. Bob's Java Jive doesn't disappoint! read more
