Bongo Java is not the Bongo Java I remember. I grew up in Nashville and went to Bongo almost every week. I came home from college and gave it a visit and was very disappointed. The vibes were great and it was super cute, but the food was not good at all. I got the breakfast burrito and it was small and soggy. It used to come with hashbrowns on the side but does not anymore. I ordered a side order for $4 and Waffle House makes bigger and better hashbrowns than that. They used to fill up the whole plate when I was younger and now the serving was barely the size of my palm. Sad to see such a Nashville classic go down the drain. read more
