We attended the Box Elder County Fair and arrived on the last day of the fair. It had been raining all morning so we waited to go until things cleared up a bit. The weather was not much of a deterrent for the local crowds and the parking lot was packed.
The parking was gravel with mud mixed in due to the rain. The parking was paint marked, but attendees seemed to take those lines as a suggestion and park where ever they wanted. We were lucky and found a painted spot near the entrance. Avoiding the puddles, we made our way across the busy paved street to the entrance.
It was free to enter and walk around to see everything. The food, activities, and souvenirs had extra costs, but we did not partake of any of those. We walked through the food area first to see the options, then checked out the games and rides area. It was not busy on the games and rides yet so nothing was really happening over there. We walked through the goats/sheep barn, the cattle barn, and then the chicken/bunny barn. There were lots of animals in motion with shows going on and an auction too. It was fun to see everything, and we were glad we had the chance to attend. read more
