From Scott's review
Sep 19, 2023
I received an email from Adam Sidel regarding my application to a job that he told me to check out through his recruiting company, Brainstorm Creative Resources. This email appears to be an automatic response once I applied for the position on his website: Adam Sidel asidel@brainstorm-resources.com Tue, Sep 5, 3:47PM to Adam I'm reaching out because you formerly applied with Brainstorm Creative Resources in Washington, DC for a Product Design role with one of the firm's clients. We're currently looking to identify an interactive design professional who could be interested in taking on a Figma Production Specialist role for at least the next six months. This fully remote (work-from-home) opportunity is being offered with either full-time hours (40 hours/week) OR part-time hours (30 hours/week) - it would be up to you. We'd like to talk with qualified individuals interested in either situation. This is not a design role, but it requires a depth of knowledge with and experience working in Figma that is commonly found in UX/UI designers. So, if you're a Figma pro and you're interested in learning more about a role that could keep you fully employed for the next six months, I encourage you to briefly scan the opportunity summary directly below and then click through to review our complete role description and brief job application. Adam then sent me a message on LinkedIn, on 9/6/23, stating: Adam Sidel 11:50 AM Scott... Thanks for applying for the Figma-focused role that I mentioned in the e-mail I sent you yesterday. Can you set aside a few minutes to chat about the opportunity tomorrow morning? Anytime between 9:30am and 12:30pm ET would work for me. I then spoke with Adam over the phone on 9/7/23 when he provided more details about the potential job role. He stated that either 1) He would get back to me directly 2) The potential company would reach out to me directly or 3) Adam would send me an email for me to speak with the hiring manager at the potential company. He said that he would contact me with an update the following Tuesday by end of day and if I didn't hear from him by then to email him. I then emailed him: Scott Sep 12, 2023, 4:34PM (7 days ago) to Adam Good afternoon Adam, Just checking up on the status of the Figma Production Specialist position at [potential company]. I never received a response to my above email, so I then sent him a message on LinkedIn the next day: Scott 9/13/23 11:40 AM Good Morning Adam, I was just following up on the status of the Figma Production Specialist role at [potential company]. I sent you an email yesterday as well. Hope as is well! Looking forward to hear back from you! Thanks! Scott As of 9/19/23 at 5:00pm ET, I have yet to receive a response from Adam or the potential employer. If I receive an update from Adam, I will update this review. read more
