Branson, Branson, Branson. I want to use the words from a song to tell you how I feel. "Before you came into my life I missed you so bad, and you should know that!" I went here blind, almost no one I know had been here, and there was very little I could find on Yelp or TripAdvisor to guide me. We said to ourselves "Well, we'll do it the old fashion way and let the locals guide us". What was so amazing was the number of people we met while on our first week of vacation in Dallas who knew Branson and gave us useful recommendations. I feel blessed, I really do. I couldn't have scripted our stay any better than it happened. The Ozarks are small mountains, more like hills... but I've never seen mountains with huge swaths of grass like these before. I found myself staring into the distances just imagining life with a modest home and fields of land for my family to live, run, play and enjoy. This was a fantastic experience, one we will not forget for a long, long time. There was so much more here than I expected, and the beauty was we could do everything or relax and do very little and would have been satisfied either way. Silver Dollar City & Marvel Cave were unexpected delights and so were the shows. We had such a good time and can't wait to return to see more performances! I am really looking forward to seeing the acappella band Six. They have been the number one show for several years. The band performs with absolutely no instruments! Nothing was inappropriate, everything was kid friendly and reasonably priced and best of all... the food here is GOOD! I can't express enough how much I enjoyed everything we experienced here and eagerly anticipate returning. 13 hours is a long and strenuous drive from Atlanta, but Branson, you're totally worth the trip.
