Bread has some delicious pastries! Hands down, delicious, I think it's all the butter. Or the gluten. Or the love. My favorites here are the Sow Your Own Oats cookies and the ginger snap cookies. My husband LOVES their green chili cheese croissants. And all the croissants as well. Their actual loaves of bread are really nice. The ciabatta is great with a warm bowl of soup. Now, they have delicious treats, but there are some downsides. 90% of the times that I have come into Bread they are so busy that their staff will try to get you in and out as quickly as possible. It is never overtly rude, but their patience is very thin. There is almost no place to sit and enjoy a nice cup or tea & your freshly purchased pastry during these times. Additionally, they always seem to run out of green chile cheese croissants. The last few times we have visited Bread on our trips to Durango we have always 'just missed them by 5 minutes'. I guess it's ok, because when their green chile croissants have been sitting it for a moment the cheese gets cold. Although my husband loves these, I am not particularly fond of them. They just aren't as stellar as he chalks them up to be.They usually heat the croissants, but you can still tell they've been sitting for a moment. They have really cute stickers too. If you are planning on coming here, get here before 8a and grab a green chile cheese croissant, a cup of tea, and a gingersnap cookie. read more
