I'm so excited to have a Beyond Bread-owned spot close to the west side, and even more excited to have Back Dough products so much closer to my house. I stopped in today to pick up a pie and some bread, and was thrilled to not have to drive clear across town for my holiday pie. They still had a great selection, and was also able to snag a loaf of Brie scallion bread- yum. in addition to bread, pies, pastries, and baked goods, this location also has a small selection of sandwiches, quiches, pot pies, salads, and tomato basil soup. I decided to give the half veggie focaccia a try, and it was so tasty! It comes with hummus, spinach/arugula mix, sharp cheddar, roasted red peppers, pickles, red onion, green bell peppers, and garlic tomato mayo, but I opted to have it without the hummus. While the sandwich was delicious, it was quite overfilled and started to fall apart after the second bite. I got a little over halfway through before I gave up, but the sandwich was big so I was also pretty full. The garlic tomato mayo was so good, but also pretty messy, so overall the sandwich was a bit challenging to eat on the go (grab extra napkins- I did not.) Bread Mill just opened and I'm sure they're still working out some kinks, so I'll definitely be back again. The space is beautiful and the staff was super friendly.
