I've spent many an afternoon sitting in the front bar of this delightful establishment after watching the mighty Lewes football team strut their stuff. Its a great pub with an equally great atmosphere and as the previous reviewer stated, its nice to sit in a place knowing that the big companies haven't got their teeth in the business.
Like most pubs in Lewes, the Harveys is pretty amazing here (I guess it should be really) but now and again they have Dark Star on tap as a guest and that is also pretty good stuff.
Food wise, the menu is really geared up for typical pub grub and all cooked really well but my favourite thing to order are the steak sandwiches - £3.80 for a sirloin steak sarnie is a bargain in my books! read more
