I have now flown British Airways twice, once from Germany to Miami, and on this most recent flight, from London Heathrow back to Miami. Both flights have been great experiences. Even though they're normally flying planes with several hundred passengers (usually Boeing 747s), the boarding process is orderly. Once onboard, this airline has some great amenities that make the 8+ hour flight as comfortable as possible. First, each passenger gets a blanket and pillow, but also receives eyeshades/blindfolds, slippers and earplugs so you can rest a bit more comfortably. They also give each passenger a toothbrush and toothpaste as well so you don't feel all disgusting after you've sat there for 8 hours watching TV, reading, sleeping, drooling, eating and drinking and being jet lagged. Their seats, even in coach, are always very comfortable. On a few other airlines I've had difficulty getting any rest because you're always shifting around since the seats are so uncomfortable. Not so with B.A. What I like the most is that each and every passenger has their own entertainment system with on-demand movies and TV episodes, with a large variety to satisfy everyone. You can also play a variety of games, check on the status of the flight and select from a number of audio channels to listen to as well. The food is always quite good and plentiful considering it's airline fare, and the attendants are always friendly. As for the woman seated next to me - the one who demanded a window seat but kept her shades closed so no one in her row could see out, who kept putting her feet up on the open seat next to hers and kicking other passengers, and who kept asking everyone in her row to move so she could be let out once an hour to pee, but would return with 2 large cups of water so she could pee more the next time she got up?
