Okay, so any meal that begins with Rocky Mountain Oysters has to be 5-stars, just for the novelty of it. The "oysters" are sliced, marinated, breaded and deep-fried Bull's Testicles.... This isn't my first time at the rodeo, I accidentally had Elk Testicles in Montreal, but, the waiter called it something like "VI-TALit-A."
In any case, the Rocky Mountain Oysters were fine, but, not as good as the Fried Avocados. I am going to have to look up the recipe for this, as they were just so delicious! We split both appetizers three ways; and, enjoyed both of them very much.
Supper was light, with two of us splitting the BLT and Onion Rings; and, our other dining companion chowing down on the Boss Hog. The BLT was on a nicely toasted bread, with plenty of bacon, lettuce, tomato, and dressed with mayonnaise. The onion rings were outstanding, fried super crispy; and, tender inside. The bbq sandwich looked fine... he doesn't talk much.
An Angry Orchard (hard cider) and a Fat Tire (beer) rounded out our orders, with me asking for lemonade. Victoria did a fine job, making sure my drink was never lacking. She was very patient with our ordering process, which was a bit disjointed, and answered all of our questions about the menu items. read more
