I found this place after by accident and we were all glad we did. Nice find! The interior is not fancy but it's clean and comfortable.
I have had Mexican food from coast to coast across Mexico and so many iterations across the country from Tex-Mex to Mexican fusion but my tastes lean authentic. There's some real Mexican "street" tacos here that I thoroughly enjoyed. Yes they have Americanized offerings as well but the Mexican influence shows up in many of their dishes. Our server was very pleasant, attentive and did great job bringing extra chips and salsa, drinks, etc.
Let's talk about the salsa, it's not hot but it's semi-chunky (is that a word) and flavorful and it not only goes well with the good chips but also works nicely on the tacos, fajitas and burritos. I am like a lot of like-minded consumers as I put a lot of emphasis on how well Mexican restaurants do the salsa :-)
The menu includes many of the usual expectations with tacos, enchiladas, burritos, fajitas, quesadillas, carnitas and more. These are offered with steak, chicken, shrimp, beef and pork. I gotta come back forbinebif their specialties, the flaming cheesy fajita, yes. I really like that they offer vegetarian options and there's also a taco salad. They have a ribeye steak with fries and guac and while they're not a seafood joint they do offer entrees with shrimp with tequila, grouper and tulapia as well as ceviche. Their side of beans rock with chorizo and nice spices and a bowl of shrimp and veggie soup plus there's a kids menu.
Bottom line: There is no alcohol served but this is a solid local Mexican restaurant well off the beaten path so locals can embrace the Mex! Recommended read more
