I highly recommend checking out amazing Burrows Park in Madison, WI! :) It is my favorite park in Madison for many reasons! Burrows Park is a hidden small park from the street view but truly an amazingly serene little park that is one of many tiny hidden treasures of Madison. Burrows Park overlooks the Mendota shores, has a large stone park shelter, small playground, & restrooms. It is also home to more than one sacred Native American Effigy mounds including an extremely large bird shaped Effigy mound. Many people go there to relax, meditate, and it is a very peaceful place with an amazing view of the sunset. You can feel a certain beautiful positive charged energy coming from that whole area. People often rent out the stone shelter which has picnic tables for company picnics, baby showers, family reunions, etc. It is very affordable to rent out and can hold many people.
